I spent 8 years on the other side of the desk.

As a JPMorgan Chase lender, I reviewed the financials business owners brought to the bank. Now I build those financials for contractors and real estate investors, so they walk into the bank, the surety or the investor meeting with numbers that win.

From the lending desk to your books

I started bookkeeping in high school and never stopped. I earned my degree in Financial Management from Franklin University, then spent more than 13 years in financial services.

At JPMorgan Chase I worked as a securities-based lending lender and then as a mortgage advisor. I saw the same thing again and again: good businesses delayed or turned down because their books couldn’t tell their story.

I founded Cofer Bookkeeping in 2021 to fix that. Today we focus on two industries where clean books matter most and generalist bookkeeping breaks first: construction and real estate. Contractors need to know what every job made. Investors need to know what every property earns. Lenders, sureties and partners need numbers they can trust.

I’ve built a senior team and a strict process around that goal, so every client gets books that are accurate, reviewed and explained, every month.
